Grass Roots Event for Pete Hoekstra, Candidate for U.S. Senate
Sunday, February 19, 2012, 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
On Sunday February 19th, there will be a personal appearance and fund raising event at the home of Bonnie and Jim Nothoff, 1992 Birchview, Kewadin. Pete Hoekstra is running for one of Michigan’s two US Senate seat. The event is a brunch from 11:30 AM to 1 pm, and an opportunity for a personal conversation with candidate Hoekstra. $50.00 per person.

Bring your questions and support of Hoekstra.

Hoekstra represented Michigan's 2nd Congressional District in the U.S. Congress from 1993 to 2010. As Congressman he served on numerous committees including Education and Labor, Budget, and he chaired the Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. He also participated in the development of the Contract with America that in 1994 laid the foundation for Republicans to capture the House for the first time in 40 years.

Pete Hoekstra is a successful politician, businessman, and leader. He worked at Herman Miller, Zeeland in product development, product management, dealer development, and became Vice-President of Marketing.

His career at Herman Miller allowed him to develop innovative management practices — learning the concepts of participative management and team building in practical applications.
Pete and his wife Diane have been married for over 30 years, reside in Holland, and have three wonderful children, Erin, Allison, and Bryan. Spending time with family is Pete's greatest enjoyment, followed by running, biking and golfing.
